PTFE Shells
the jacket for the gasket
PTFE-coated gaskets consist of a stable sealing insert and a PTFE shell. They are used for flange connections that are exposed to high chemical stresses. The advantages of PTFE-coated gaskets are their excellent sealing properties and their high chemical resistance. In addition, they are suitable for varying pressures and temperatures from -195 °C to +250 °C. They are therefore mainly used in the chemical industry, but also in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
We supply PTFE shells in the versions Y shell, U shell and U shell with diffusion barrier in blade thicknesses of 0.35 mm; 0.5 mm; 0.75 mm and 1 mm. The sealing insert can be chosen freely. Usually an asbestos-free fibre material or a graphite material is used.
